After analyzing the results of the studies, we ranked the methods of surface
hardening of the aluminum alloy B95, compared with unmodified one, by the level of
wear during testing under various conditions, corrosion resistance, energy
consumption, and environmental safety. It was found that a more efficient way than
galvanic chromium plating to reduce the wear of parts made of B95 alloy under
friction conditions with a fixed abrasive is an environmentally friendly is laser
modificating with SiC particles, which increases the wear resistance of an unmodified
alloy by 93 times. When testing with non-fixed abrasive, it is more expedient to use
high-speed gas-flame spraying of VC coatings, which increases the wear resistance of
an aluminum alloy by 7–9 times. Therefore, the replacement of the proposed ways to
strengthen the environmentally dangerous chromium plating process is quite justified
and its effect is undeniable.
Technological instructions for the restoration of shoofly-pies for offset printing
machines by spraying coatings with a high-speed flame method using powder
compositions of the FeCr-VC and FeCr-VC Со systems for the printing industry have
been developed. The technological instruction defines the basic technological
operations for the restoration or protection of new shoofly-pies of offset flat printing
machines from abrasive wear.
An experiment-industrial examination of printing machines with reconditioned
shoofly-pies at several printing companies in Lviv (Elgraf, Premier Group, Express)
over 2 years showed an increase of their resource by 1.5...2 times.
