substantiation of terms for the next inspections of steam pipelines, and a sequence of
replacement of critically degraded elements.
Conclusions and recommendations formulated in this work have been used by
TPPs for finding out the causes of damage occurrence in structural elements, the
development of measures aimed at preventing damaging in the future, and also for
estimation of reliability of other installation components. It is confirmed by 8 acts of
use of the obtained results, conclusions and recommendations.
Keywords: degradation, structural steels, long-term operation, ambient and
high-temperature conditions, structural and fractographic signs, correlations,
fractographic and mechanical indicators, critical state substantiation.
